Now, I have tried these tips and my tablet is still not workingI’ve tried EVERYTHING and it still won’t turn on! I was pressing in sll kinds of combinations but it came to life. I’m beyond annoyed that this is even an issue, and that I had to google to find a solution.I couldn’t believe it. Whenever you face the fire stick won’t turn on the issue just do the following steps to fix the problem.
Left on charge for days nothing on here has worked…they were both Xmas presents last year so only 10months old.. it’s just not good enough ..??Wow! I also tried using the volume keys in conjunction with the start button, but still nothing. It was either the power adapter or cord, I replaced both to be on the safe side. I tried all of these tips and nothing is working. This is crap. This morning, it happened again nothing worked. May have happened when I stored in underneath my car seat. The volume down with power on. Launch the Fire TV … The first charger had apparently drained it down to nothing. Therefore, remove the extension and connect the Stick directly.Most TVs now feature at least two HDMI ports.
Hold the Select and Play / Pause buttons at the same time for five seconds. It works. Wish there was something we could do, as mine was a gift and i feel bad the person who purchased it got screwed. But holding the Volume Down and Power buttons together, it asked to reboot the system and is now working! Then disconnect your router and modem. I didn’t know what was wrong at first. I’m trying another since Amazon currently has a sale of a 2 pack of Fire HD 8’s for $100.Nothing helped. Only cause of it I could guess was a Netflix app update. They’ve had these issues before, and now here we all are with the same. The device will cycle through the possible resolutions, from 1080p all the way down to 480p. It gave me options to reset the tablet and I just picked reboot. Battery was over 70%?! 3rd step – screen comes up, but reboot does nothing to fix the issue. And nothing happens. Plus my screen is upside down. Just recently, after trying all my tricks for over an hour, I got mad and started pressing the power button down with the charger plugged in. I was playing a game when it suddenly stopped. It's pretty annoying. When I plugged my TV back in it automatically came on. I don’t know what else to do. Just for the heck of it and I being a tinkerer, I dug it out and tried some of the suggestions. It's magic. So, while searching for a solution, I found this site and used the recommendations. Factory reset still no way. Appears there was an issue trying to boot up , but a normal reboot would not fix it and a recovery reboot was needed to do the repair it. It was working fine but when I tried to use it again a bit later nothing happened when I turned it on so I kept pressing the Start button and holding it down for a bit longer and then it did come on but the orange ‘Fire’ emblem that appears when you first turn on the tablet just stayed there and t didn’t progress to the start up screen where you have to enter your pin. No combination of power/volume up/volume down makes a difference. It was. I didn’t know how to turn my fire tablet back up again.
