These were the worsts seats I have every had and we actually paid $70.00 per seat for extra legroom!
This is a belated remark for 30 September 2015. SeatGuru User on Ample legroom, and little inconvenience from the "narrower" seats (I'm a little heavy and found them fine for me. We were seated in 11A and 11C. I thought this seat with the misaligned window was okay .. .. The front row seat are not only narrow due to tray table, but the passenger services unit extends into the space sticking into your hip in the process. Aer Lingus still uses dual audio jacks so you will need an adapter if you want to use your own headphones.. We actually moved back to coach on our return trip even though we had reserved the same bulkhead seats reserved for our return trip. Not only was the seat restrictively narrow, but the space in front of me did not allow me to open my fold down tray fully, so that it cut into my gut and would not lie flat. We wanted to change seats for the return flight, but changing seat assignments on Aer Lingus is apparently impossible. Lots of galley noise for the entire flight makes resting/sleeping impossible. The window was slightly forward of the seat and the view was mostly the back of the wing.
In addition to the seat being more narrow, there is less legroom here than a regular coach seat. The seat by the door really required that, unless your feet are up against the back of the seat, that you put your legs on the door as it is RIGHT in front of the door. There was nowhere, not here either, that there was no window on row 12! As other comments have noted it is possible to unintentionally hit the controls with your leg and the bed is a bit hard but I slept just fine. It's all personal taste (I don't like bulkhead seats generally), but I think I would have preferred any seat on the plane to these two.
Grwta new interior with seat back usb cgarging, new touch screens and way comfier seats! Uncomfortable and not worth the extra money to upgrade for bulkhead. Extremely noisy due to galley. 2019/06/05 for Seat 11a
